"Sunday Bloody Sunday" was the first song I heard by U2 ...
Best of luck !
My two favorite groups were U2 and Depech Mode. I'll never forget 1987 at the LA coliseum U2 Joshua Tree Live and then a year later, summer 1988 at the Rosebowl in Pasadena a concert for the ages which began at 3:00 PM featuring six bands closing with Depech Mode's Music for the masses concert. They recorded live the album 101. I was there along with 100,000+ and witnessed the Guinness record-breaking food fight. And then just as the sun sets and DM takes the stage it started to rain (lasted about five minutes) in the middle of summer. It was incredible.
Since we are off subject and talking about music ... I can't find a link, but I have in my car a cd by zboy (the moderator of this thread). I love it! And so do my wife and son (although Jordan does make me change it to Disney's classics such as Hi Ho Hi Ho It's off to work we go, sometime, <g>)
So, Zach, if you are reading this, can you please provide a link to your music? I don't think anyone will mind, and plus I gave you the well-deserved plug, and if the vendor-haters get on your case, I'll stand right there behind you
Aldrums,
I am a tone deaf uncoordinated music lover. I can't sing or play, but love to listen. My best friend growing up played the drums, and all I ever wanted was to learn how to play the Sunday Bloody Sunday opening

Then, I dated this gal who played the Piano and she taught me how to do the guitar part, on a piano

This was the only thing I ever learned to play, but it was when I was 14. Needless to say, I don't remember any of it. So my special request is for that tune. And, beer is on me next time I see you ~ deal? But I can't promise to stay up late like last time. I am getting old ...
