While oil would rise should the dollar fall since the oil price is directly pegged to the dollar, I ain't so sure the inverse is true. Oil could still move lower with the falling dollar if the economy goes into a complete tailspin (you know, that dreaded depression everyone is talking about).

With one caveat, of course. Should there be a protracted war of great scale like WWII, all bets are off. Maybe then, and only then, can we round up all these morons and their children from ET and send them to fight the war like it should be fought:
