No the correct wording is: So that's why futures CHOSE to gap down last night. Imo it's just another volatility-creating event for traders to make some money. That's all. I mean it's not like the first time that the US gets downgraded and if the market chooses to ignore it, it WILL ignore it but this time it chooses to react to it so we see a bit of a reaction. It's totally ridiculous if you ask me. I mean I can understand it if the US gets downgraded when the inflation was rampant and the economy was still suffering from the aftermath of covid but now? With inflation on its way down and the economy pretty much back to where it was before covid and it chooses to downgrade now? LOL
Whatever, will trade accordingly. Volatility is good, was looking for some anyway...
