Quote from Gabfly1:

The biggest "us vs. them" should be between the moral and the immoral. The ethical versus the unethical. Everything else is superficial and usually self-serving at the expense of others and the whole.

"Morality is simply the attitude we adopt towards people we personally dislike."
— Oscar Wilde

Chasing the moral high ground is an exercise in futility when comparing yours to that of someone else. Unless one can completely detach themselves from their own personal bias, which is next to impossible, it just becomes a blame game. Great game to play if you like war.

Quote from Rearden Metal:

Have you ever met anyone who didn't think they belong in the 'moral' category? Truth is, we all fit somewhere in the grey zone between moral and immoral. Power corrupts. Extreme circumstances do as well.

Yes, I imagine we all try to obscure it to our advantage. But, for the most part, I think most of us can generally agree where morality ends and immorality begins if we are being honest with ourselves. Perhaps the litmus test should be the Golden Rule, which is on the decent end of the morality continuum.

You forgot one category Rearden -- my category -- none of the above. :)

Plus I think you meant to write Jews vs. Antisemites -- not Jews vs. Gentiles. There is no inherent friction between Jews and Gentiles, but there certainly is between Jews and Jew Hating Gentiles or Antisemites.

Quote from I am...:

True versus false

I am you are always at the next level. I am impressed. That One Finger Zen training in Siberia must have done you a lot of good. :)

True versus false trumps moral vs. immoral or ethical vs. unethical!
