When I worked for someone else, I wasn't glued to the screen waiting for something to happen. I had actionable and measurable responsibilities. I even often ate lunch at my desk while working. So why is a guy with a "C level position in a company with just under a billion in top line" glued to a computer monitor all day posting on forums? You're getting paid to work, not wait. So which company are you ripping off?
You clearly know nothing about management.
Here's an example of a measurable task at the senior level: Grow variable contribution by 2 points.
This isn't something you accomplish by sitting at your desk during lunch. There are large project based initiatives that you assign tasks to, meet to discuss and adjust as necessary while seeing periodical updates.
And eating hamburgers at the register while you ask if they want fries with their order isn't a measurable responsibility, Freddie.
