US Taxpayer to pay for Trump's Wall

Guess which party opposed cracking down on employers by adopting e-verify universally?
I'm giving Trump a chance to correct that. He is not even President yet. 11 Days to go. If he does not deliver then I will be the first to call him a failure. I am not afraid to criticize my own party. I think most of the current Republicans are do-nothings. I am giving them a chance under Trump.

Which would you rather have Here4money?

1. Free college for undocumented immigrants?

2. Free health care for undocumented immigrants?

3. All of the above.

4. None of the above.

What is your choice? No response = None of the above.

WC, are you still holding out for "honest" true right-wing guy like Rubio? He appeared dead on arrival as an elitist insider, with some tea party leanings, and a social security reducing problem (I know, I know saving S.S. but...). I don't see any independent or moderate democrat attraction had he been GOP nominee. Also, he was all for illegal aliens taking over the U.S. freely, so he'd have lost some of the 'angry' shake things up base Trump attracted in Michigan, PA, etc... I agree We need to hold Trump accountable and he likely joined the wide circle of lying, cheating U.S. politicians, but let's give him a chance before we burn him out of Washington and start again with Pence. Quite a few voters for Trump (many here in fact) were ONLY votes against Obama and Hillary.

To get back on topic here is another sample of Mexico paying for the wall, agreed NOT directly YET! It's hopefully a couple thousand jobs in the U.S. instead of Mexico and at least partially in response to Trump's rhetoric; it's planned U.S. plant expansions by Fiat Chrysler:

Thank you, no problem. I don't blame wildchild for getting mad a Trump. We on "the Right" hold our people to a higher standard. Everything Obama has touched has been a massive failure. The only "Obama legacy" is that he was the first African American President. That is his main accomplishment, that is what he will mainly be in the history books.

If Trump does not deliver then he will be a 1 term president. I will gladly vote for Cruz or anyone else if Trump does not deliver. I need him to get tough on immigration by any means necessary. I can turn on a dime and hate Trump easily, we just need to give him a chance. If no progress is made in the first year then the anger that he helped to channel will turn against him in a heartbeat.
That's it. We're not a cult of personality like the Dumbocrats. If Trump doesn't deliver with in 12-18 months, he's gone. Fuck em. I couldn't care less. We're here to get the job done, and if he can't do it, he's toast.

As much as the right wants to believe this; it doesn't happen. What happens is: undocumented get in-state tuition in certain states (since them or parents paid into state property taxes, just like other in-state students) & they get scholarships/grants from private parties (and I'm not a fascist who will tell private parties how to use their money). Federal or state financial aid to illegals is something the right dreamt up.
2. Free health care for undocumented immigrants?
Happens in case of emergencies sure....a hospital won't turn someone away in need. Does the taxpayer foot the bill? Perhaps, since we're just going to dismiss the federal contributions (from fake ssns) then it's hard to call it a wash. What I'd rather see is them being eligible to health insurance [same as car insurance] so they cover their own costs (something the right is vehemently oppose to grant them).

Even if the US taxpayer is required to pony up the money for the wall, it's a necessity. An "open southern border" is an existential threat to the country... a wall = a "defense" expense, just like a new aircraft carrier or cruise missiles. Of course I'd rather see Mexico pay for it... or that we "take it out of their hide".

Just because Mexico doesn't write the actual check doesn't mean they aren't paying for it. The amount of lost revenue from factories being canceled there and built in the US should be considered, for example.

You are pointing out the key aspect of politicians: they'd do and say anything to get elected.
Once there, they start to waste time, and not deliver.
No matter who is elected in a democratic way, those elected have a duty to deliver and not fool the electors. Well done to the Americans to hold him accountable. Support your President, AND make sure he delivers : you voted for him to do a job, it is his duty to do it.

What we know is that, regardless of what happens, Trump will claim victory. "Truthful hyperbole" and all that. Trump may have a "good brain," and "know the best words," but oxymoron is not one of them.

I am you realize that higher prices means that fewer goods will be sold by China and U.S. manufactures get to produce locally and replace china's good if the tariffs are effectively targeted and structured.

Just as long as you know that the person who actually pays a tariff is a US citizen and not China as Trump suggests.
