US Taxpayer to pay for Trump's Wall

To your point. Nearly all those illegal immigrants came here legally and overstayed their visas. A wall would cost a lot, look bad, make us look bad in the eyes of the world, wreck the view for all those U.S. ranchers near the border, and be only minimally more effective, if that, compared to the present means of border patrol

Your approach got us into the big mess we're in now. All it takes is another Obama or Bush in office to open the border again. A wall is not moving.

Are these countries going to criticize us? And who cares if they do?

US taxpayers effectively paid for this wall. Only problem is it's in Israel.

The bottomline is Trump lied and said he was going to build a wall and Mexico was going to pay for it.

Now the US taxpayer is on the hook for Trump's fence.

Based on Trump's tax returns it looks like he was quite sincere when he said someone else was going to pay for it. Its a reoccurring thing theme through his life.

Like, say, people who post all day on Internet forums on company time? Guys with a "C level position in a company with just under a billion in top line?" (Your words.) With all kinds of balls in the air waiting for one to come back down? (Again, your words.) Yeah, I know what you mean.

I doubt you do, having never made it above fry guy your entire life :(

This Trump didn't even wait till he got into office to throw away his key campaign pledge.

Remember this ridiculous exchange.

Forgive me. Trump plans to tax foreign remittances to Mexico. Apparently, they are setting it up now. At the wellhead - Western Union.

He campaigned on this multiple times as a source to finance construction of the wall DIRECTLY FROM MEXICAN POCKETS.

Perhaps Trump is just fucking with us man. Trump is a troll. You gotta realize that. In the end, he comes through. But he likes to fuck with people to see which side of the fence theyre on. Suss out the weak hands/traitors etc.

The only positive here is it will kill Western Union who have been gouging for their service.

We actually elected a narcissist and compulsive liar to lead us; someone who, as you say, likes to fuck with people. But it's not to see which side of the fence they're on. It's purpose is to humiliate enemies and ingratiate himself to those he sees as supporters. He'll treat quite differently those whom he thinks might stand in his way, like the middle aged, white, male voters he courted as though he had a vacuum cleaner to sell them. These folks, his marks, the pigeons, he sounds out so he can parrot back to them what they want to hear. Now that he has spent more time in the national spotlight, however, his sales pitch is beginning to become too transparent; a little too obvious. He'll lose effectiveness, and more rapidly than might be apparent. He is beginning to sound too much like the twenty something year-old who tries to sell whole life insurance by reading from a script his mentors gave him. He'll get tiresome very, very quickly. He is a pathetic man, caught beyond his depth, with neither understanding nor substance.

He'll retain his core followers, until the butt fucking they are about to receive at the hands of the Republicans becomes so painful they can no longer ignore it. The ones who pull the strings from behind the curtain, however, will be less and less amused with the passage of time.

It is absolutely hilarious watching these clowns who used to call Obama a narcissist actually drooling over Donald Trump. They used to count how many times Obama said "I" in his speeches.

WC, are you still holding out for "honest" true right-wing guy like Rubio? He appeared dead on arrival as an elitist insider, with some tea party leanings, and a social security reducing problem (I know, I know saving S.S. but...). I don't see any independent or moderate democrat attraction had he been GOP nominee. Also, he was all for illegal aliens taking over the U.S. freely, so he'd have lost some of the 'angry' shake things up base Trump attracted in Michigan, PA, etc... I agree We need to hold Trump accountable and he likely joined the wide circle of lying, cheating U.S. politicians, but let's give him a chance before we burn him out of Washington and start again with Pence. Quite a few voters for Trump (many here in fact) were ONLY votes against Obama and Hillary.

To get back on topic here is another sample of Mexico paying for the wall, agreed NOT directly YET! It's hopefully a couple thousand jobs in the U.S. instead of Mexico and at least partially in response to Trump's rhetoric; it's planned U.S. plant expansions by Fiat Chrysler:

Fiat-Chrysler just announced it will invest $1 billion in plants in Michigan and Ohio, where it will build three new Jeep models and some additional Ram trucks. Trump tweet-cheered the news and said, “it’s finally happening,” as if the automaker were responding directly to his entreaties. Marchionne corrected that misimpression: “I wish I could give [Trump] credit for this, but the thinking was in place beforehand.”

That's nothing but an opinion on the future. A prediction. Based on your own personal dislike for Donald Trump. Not much fact in there. You're reaching pretty far.

Bump this post in 12 months. See if you're right. You haven't noticed a pattern in the news already? Real major companies relocating factories to America? Jobs are being created. Real jobs. The real economy. Manufacturing. Supply chains. Logistics. Banking. Finance. Construction. Consumables.
