bush did lie by omission. he was bound and determined to find a way to attack iraq so he excluded any evidence that agree with is goal and slanted other evidence to achieve his goal. his own cia told him this guy was making shit up but he ignored it.

i for one have never said it was all about oil. with bush it was deeper.

We run a war economy, it's as simple as that. In their minds, "the ends justify the means". They reach a conclusion and then work backwards to legitimize their rationale.

Every generation gets their own war, I suppose concerns over population growth and such play a part in determining the involvement in the war as well.
