I don't really experience any grief over anything you say futurecurrents.

You are willing to state things like "the US produces more CO2 than any other country" when it is completely untrue. One explanation for that intellectual dishonesty is that you hate the USA. It makes complete sense. You think the USA should be punished for its industrial revolution.

So, when did you start hating your country? Was it when you realized that you were just going to be an air-conditioner installer despite having completed a degree in "Environmental Science"? Did you expect a corner office at Rand and a six figure salary? Tragic.

I see the problem here. You can't read. I said that the US HAS produced more CO2 than any other country. Unlike you, I know the facts about AGW and I know China is CURRENTLY producing more CO2 than the US.

BTW,, Why do you hate science and rational thought so much? When did it start? Was it after you realized being a rabid rightie and believing in science and rational thought were mutually exclusive? LOL

The figures, which have triggered debate among climate scientists, reveal that from the beginning of 1997 until August 2012, there was no discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.

This means that the ‘plateau’ or ‘pause’ in global warming has now lasted for about the same time as the previous period when temperatures rose, 1980 to 1996. Before that, temperatures had been stable or declining for about 40 years.

I'm not even sure what you are arguing anymore. I think you just playing around, having fun avoiding seeing or at least admitting the truth.

There is no "plateau". There is noise within a strong trend upward. That's all. I understand you are a lawyer and not a scientist, but this is pretty basic stuff.

Here's another question. Can a line be drawn between two points on a chart and not represent trend? Please answer directly.

I don't know how to present more evidence than I already have that roughly 98% of the world's publishing climatologists, all the world's science organizations and the CEO of Exxon believe that most of the warming we are seeing is because of man's emitting of CO2. It's been posted above, as has been the refutation of the 14 year "plateau" bs. That you can't or won't understand these things can not be helped by anything I do or say. You are obviously not interested in seeing the truth but only in arguing.

one... that study said nothing about CO2 causing the warming.

I tend to think we are warming... and I suspect man contributes to it too.
But, I know I do not know... I also know CO2 accumulation is most likely a by product of the warming.

It could be the cows we are eating or the fact so many of us live near the temperature monitors or that we cut down forrests.

I also know the earth cycles through warming and cooling.

Just read this

If you were engaging in social media this past weekend, you might have found an October 13, 2012 article suggesting that global warming stopped 16 years ago. The article is here. David Rose of the Daily Mail wrote it. The article says the UK Met Office sent out a news release release saying its data showed that global warming has stopped and that there is no “discernible rise in aggregate global temperatures.” It now comes to light that this information is not true. The UK Met Office did not release a statement suggesting that “global warming stopped 16 years ago.” The UK Met Office, in fact, disavows any association with Mr. Rose and his article and says it was never asked any questions regarding the actual science of climate change and global warming by Mr. Rose. On October 14, 2012 – one day after Mr. Rose’s article appeared in the Daily Mail – the UK Met Office released its own blog post discussing the issues with the Daily Mail article. It’s very interesting reading.

In fact, in a report released by the National Climatic Data Center this week, global land and ocean surface temperatures for the month of September 2012 tied with 2005 as the warmest September on record, at 0.67 degrees Celsius (1.21 degrees Fahrenheit) above the 20th century average of 15.0 degrees Celsius (59.0 degrees Fahrenheit). It appears that the rate of warming has slowed slightly at this time; in other words, at the moment, it’s not increasing in warmth as fast as it was. Bottom line: On October 13, 2012, the Daily Mail posted an article crediting the UK Met Office with saying that global warming stopped 16 years ago. The article went viral this week.
