US ranks behind Rwanda, Belarus, Azerbaijan in creating new business - World Bank

Business and business structure and some tax issues are the one subject on this site I enjoy talking about and it's something I can add to the discussion. But you have to troll and add nothing to the discussion but insults. Try reading up and really try thinking every once in a while, you might like it. I've posted fact and opinion based on fact and a long history in the subject we're talking about. You have nothing but political and personal attacks. I tell you politics have nothing to do with business when you're in the trenches competing for work. Enough of you, I'll wait for one of the more thoughtful people to converse with.

Did you answer my question on how exactly how the study is "flawed"?

I think it's comical how you keep trying to compare a nickel and dime contractor "business" (Your office being in a camper or the front seat of your pickup truck) with real business start up costs and regulations. Companies with buildings permanent employees benefits EPA, and OSHA regulations etc etc etc to deal with.

What's a roofer need, a cell phone and a business license?

You're just being a troll too. You haven't read anything on the subject. You are just joining your friend in personal attacks. I already posted some of my views on why I think the study is flawed and there are others. For one thing it mentioned the time and expense to get workers comp in New York but did not mention getting ACC in New Zealand (their version of workers comp) The main thing to take away from this is it does not matter what the business environment is like in Belarus for a small business man in America. This study is good but it isn't the be all end all in the discussion.

Politics has nothing to do with business when competing for work??? Omg lol!!!!!! Are you for real???:D:D The comedy I get here is second to none.:D

I read what you posted on the subject. Though admittedly I do still feel like I haven't read anything on the subject.

LOL! And I wouldn't expect much more out of him. Once he's confronted with the facts, he'll distract, evade, and run away. Guarantee he was one of those kids who ran out of nerf darts during a "battle," and cried "no fair, time out" when the other kids let him have it.:D Typical libtard... Last, I don't think I've EVER met a liberal construction worker in my life. I used to mix mortar on summer breaks in High School, and the guys I was around were hard core, no bullshit, get it done types. Keep in mind, however, this was when Reagan was in office, and America was America...

Even as US athletes prepare to put their best performances on the line in the hopes for Olympic gold, IRS agents are preparing to pounce on the winners and take a big chunk of their earnings.

from ATR:

As 230 U.S. Olympic athletes gear up to compete in the 2014 Winter Games, the only thing colder than the slopes at Sochi is the fact that any prizes awarded by the U.S. Olympic Commission (USOC) will be taxed by the IRS. Many Americans don’t realize that the U.S. taxes income earned abroad, and as such even the winnings of Olympic athletes are subject to the reach of the IRS.

The USOC awards prizes to U.S. Olympic medal winners: $25,000 for gold, $15,000 for silver, and $10,000 for bronze. Relative to each athlete’s income tax bracket, some top earners such as Shaun White could end up paying over a third (39.6 percent) of their winnings to the IRS.

Additionally, because the U.S. is one of only a handful of developed countries that tax income earned abroad, it is likely America’s competitors will not be subject to such a tax. Taken together - the tax on Olympic athletes and the tax on income earned abroad - it can be said the U.S. has officially “earned the Gold” for having one of the most backwards and illogical tax codes in the world...
