(there are now over 21 Federal agencies that are involved in mortgages now in one way or another, about a 50% increase in 2 years).

Who blocked all conservative attemtps to reign in Fannie and Freddie leverage for about 2 full decades? Democrats.

It never ceases to amaze me how Bush gets blamed for all problems we have ever had - but it couldn't possibly have anything to do with the people (Democrats) who have actually been in charge of the economy via policy for the LAST FOUR YEARS. (presidents don't make economies run or not run, congress does)

If you compare some of the social democrat countries like Norway or Switzerland you will see the difference between the US and countries that have embraced social democracy (aka what misinformed and ignorant ones call socialism in the US).

BTW I live here too a and have been to 48 out of 50 states of the union.
