This simple stand does not make a country balanced (or correct) on human rights. Nor does it make it forward thinking. What it means is that for whatever reason that they arrived at the decision, they chose woman to lead them.

recently there were democratic electio in morocco and more than 20% of the parliament is composed of women...
Aren't both of these countries now (and have been for a while) saying that they support the possible action against Sadam. So much so that we have the ability to base and direct some of the operations from their countries.

Governments should not be based on a Muslim, Christian, Catholic, atheists, etc., makeup. Nor should that be an evidence of civility. Each and every one of these disciplines has its darkest moments in history to account for. Governments should reflect right and wrong and excel in tolerance and support of their own peoples first. From there they should exercise humility and compassion for all the peoples of the world righting injustices universally when they exist.
Not after years of scrutiny and observations. But as quickly as possible to afford the humane living that all humans deserve. And when injustice is encountered,
ALL peoples of the world need to
speak and act to right the matters without prejudice or bias. Intervening without a malice or oppression of the peoples as the goal or desire. And this action should be in the quickest, most dominant matter and fashion available so as to stop the oppression and death of those within the voids of despair.
There should be no solace and compassion for terror at any level, for any reason. We are not a perfect land, America. Our history contains the oppression of many. The Indians who were here first, today still live mostly within reservations. The slaves who were transported here against their will have descendents who are the object of suppressed hatred and disadvantages. Once upon a time, women were considered a property (to some still) and were not allowed the simple rights of the constitution that go with being an American. But we evolve!
And when we speak of understanding and righting a wrong, we speak from a unique experience. The experience (in many cases) of having righted the wrong. But most importantly, the struggle to CONTINUE to evolve to the true correct posture. A never ending battle.
The time for no longer holding to the oppressions and wrongful actions of the past has come. As in our own country, the world needs to take another step forward if we are all to grow. The more strongly that those who commit wrongful acts anchor in the ways of the past, the more hatred they
MUST develop for changing world.
Rights of a country's peoples must now be reflected in its actions within as well as outside its borders. A new consistency doctrine is now being demanded and all the countries of the world must adhere. The world populace is traveling, interacting and impacting. It is time for the rights of being a human to supercede any and all rights for power and personal praise.
I would challenge that with all of the technological advances available to the world, that it is now time to work to close the gaps. Rather than fight the war with America as to who can dominate, why not battle on a more level playing field. One where all parties are equal no matter their history. That battle is in the desire to excel with the resources at hand to make life for their own peoples the best that it can be. And in so doing, we can truly start to aid in the mental growth that we ALL need!
