Please show us proof (historical precedent) your theory holds water.

Thats a long list.

The fact that we have military bases in 130 countries is a big one. If ANY country wanted to have a military base (not a training school but an actual base) in the US, we would have a fit. That right there is a sign of power. Its the rest of the world giving up control the US by allowing them to station their military.

Or how about Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, the one which basically gave the US Az, Nv, Ut, Nm, Ca and minor pieces of other modern day states. The US offered approx 30 million for Ca, the Mexicans said no so what did the US do? Started a war, paid only 15 million and got MUCH more land than the original offer.

A "long list" with one historical example.... :D

Your hill-billy reasoning is flawed because our creditors sit on gigantic economies with nuclear weapons and sophisticated armies. And there is not one "Mexico". There are many 'Mexicos'. And they dont look like Mexico. They look like China.

Anything else?

Would you like me to list all of the military interventions by the United States? Or list everytime the US turned on a country due to them denying the US something?

And sophisticated armies? lol you are joking right? you mean the Koreans with their weapons that cant make it off the launch pad, let alone to the shores of the US?

Please let me know what other countries have sophisticated armies? Pakistan? North Korea?

And the Chinese are sophisticated? With their 60 year old battle ship from the USSR? They use technology that is outdated. In fact, the technology that the US uses that they allow us to see (B2, drones etc) is outdated. The things going on in secret in places like area 51 is much more advanced than anyone on this board can comprehend. The government has even admitted that any technology that is introduced by the military is already 10 years old on its debut. In other words, if China is sophisticated , the US is a different species all together.

Let me spell it out for you like this, hombre.

The Soviets, despite their vastly inferior technology, lost the cold war because economically, they couldn't keep up.

See the title of this thread? US is about 3 years from Greece. The US is going broke. They couldn't beat the rag-heads in Afghanistan and Iraq, but somehow, will smash 8 Trillion dollar economies (like China and Japan....nuclear armed and capable, mind you), because Hill Billies are infatuated with Pax Americana. What happened to the British? Fought too many wars, were overly indebted, and crumbled. Sound familiar?

Quote from Butterball:

The US fiscal situation has little to nothing in common with Greece nor Argentina. These attempts comparing apples to oranges are cringe worthy at best.

thanks for your detailed analysis...

Beat the rag-heads? You are so ignorant its not even funny. You think that was a serious war? If the US wanted to, they could have destroyed the entire region with a press of a button. That war was pointless, and the government knew it. Those 7000 lives that were lost didnt mean anything to the government, in fact they probably viewed it as a plus because it meant they werent on the streets committing crimes. Ive known several people who went to Iraq and all had records before they left.

The only thing that will bring down America is it itself. the fall must happen from within. it wont be the debt or wars it will be the people of America who make it crumble. Simple as that.

And by the way, if China and Japan were so tired of America then they wouldnt put up with the monetary policies that we are implementing. The fact is they are willing and able to import our inflation. You need to wake up brother.

thanks for the facts.

Quote from chaykapwr:

The difference between America and every other country is not that the US dollar is a reserve currency but the fact that the US has the POWER behind the dollar. I mean, if the US doesnt get what it wants when it asks nicely, it will get it by force. If any country demands payment on the bonds they hold, the US could send a couple of B-2s out, make a little show and shut everyone up

The bully on the block gets his way, one way or another, and as long as the bully keeps everyone else from getting strong, no bigger bully will come along.

vietam, afghanistan, iraq and now syria
