And more so when you consider that American capitalists have a long track record of successfully lobbying government to intervene abroad militarily when key inputs or supply chains are pinched by foreign competition.
 
My taxes fund building of warships that I don't agree with already....the only difference here, is I get to decide how my money's spent.
