US index options

I would like to learn more about trading US index options-the major ones. I have an a/c with IB but I have only traded stock options. Where can I find more about index options ? Please help. Thanks

Pretty basic information, but check www.cboe.com and www.cme.com and look around and you should be able to find some info on contact specifications, expirations and the like.

Option Volatility and Pricing by Sheldon Natenburg is considered by many to be somewhat of the options bible. I forget the name but there is another one by Lawrence McMillan that's pretty good. These two are good overviews of option trading, but I'm not sure that they really cover that much about trading indices. Check on Amazon for other books, but before you do a search here on ET for books that others have read. Hope this helps.
