US hedge funds shorting German equities?

There is the danger that the gas turbine that was repaired in Canada and now is on its way to Germany,
and from there going to Russia to be built in to the Nord Stream 1 pipeline system,
either will be defect or will have an "accident" on the way... :)
Then w/o gas from Russia the German economy will collapse...

Under this scenario it's very natural to expect some hedge funds to have heavily bet
on such a case and have shorted German (as well related EU) stocks and indexes...

Maybe AQR Capital again? :)

Certain opponent circles in the US, incl. the US govt, have already celebrated their win
of successfully stopping the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, can now even be proud of bringing Germany to its knees....

As trustworthy an alliance as an agreement among Mexican cartel bosses. Can't trust any of the lies and empty promises of any US administration. Untrustworthy and unfaithful partners.

Friendship and alliance with the US feels so "hollow", isn't it? :)
You never can trust this "friend" to not backstab you the next day... :)
I can't decide which suits better for the US: "Hollowistan" or "Backstabistan"? :)

Just an observation: the political elites in the West are suspiciously silent in the last days/weeks.
Are they perhaps planning a hot war against Russia? Nothing is impossible with such sickos currently in power in the West.

Btw, a few days ago read in the news: US soldiers stationed in Europe, especially in Germany,
have got new orders forbidding them to drink any alcohol nor leave their barracks in the night...
This will be hard for the Average Joe GI, very hard... :)
No alcohol and no prostitutes, oh man... :)
