US Equity Markets Closed Tuesday Jan 2nd

First time I've seen a four day weekend in a while. I don't remember this happening for Reagan's funeral.

this is happening because of the monday holiday.

dont worry the markets will make up for the tuesday close with a 500 point rally on Wednesday.

I guess that gives those guys who recevied those big fat bonuses an extra day to shop...to them its a 4 day weekend.

So does anyone know if the nyse is going to be closed on Tuesday or not? I can't imagine the nasdaq closed and the nyse open?
