US debt- whats is the real plan of Congress?

since this is the economics forum-

US- we have the worlds most respected printing press.(USD)
The US dollar is still respected.
So we printed our selves to prosperity since 1980.

now does have a clue if the congress has ANY intention of lowering the debt.. i .e. if we could further the chart. do they have any intention of turning the debt clock backwards..

just looking at the slope of the chart. it seems highly unlikely if it will change direction. infact it seems it is going to go up further!~
 
I think that the people that are on the left are the Myers-Briggs types that don't think, they feel... I don't think they understand the debt at all. I've seen their reactions when asked about paying for all their programs, it's pretty strange, it's like they can't connect with the question or the answer. They are cheapskates with their own personal money however, that's proven.

Republicans want to lower taxes and cut entitlements. Democrats want to hike taxes and introduce more entitlements.

You can see why it's hard to accomplish anything unless one side has majority in congress and the senate.
