US Citizen living in Canada

I am a US Citizen living in Canada (dual citizen). I fill out both Canadian and US taxes. I have two SIN's and two passports. Does anyone know if I am able to open a US brokerage account and trade from Canada? Or do you absolutely need a US residential address and actually trade from the US. If it's not possible what are my options?

I am currently trading through an offshore corporate subaccount from Canada, but wish to simply open an individual account. I am a high frequency trader using a brokerage similar to SpeedTrader.

Yes, if you're a U.S. citizen with a social security number and passport, you can have a U.S brokerage account and trade from anywhere in the world including Canada.

Any other questions....

Call the broker and ask the broker if you need a U.S. address. :D

If broker tells you that you need a U.S. address...get a P.O. Box (the type that don't use the word P.O. box in the address) in the U.S. or use the address of a trusted relative/friend that resides in the U.S. After you're account is open...call your broker and then change your address from U.S. to your Canada address.
