I am quite new to trading, I just wanted to ask you if it would make sense for China or Japan to sells us bonds after today's news.

Thanks for the responses. I ended keeping the trade overnight because I hadn't seen the first message. I sold it in the morning for a good profit before bond prices started to rally so I was quite lucky.

Yeah. I shorted US bonds because of the negative outlook from S&P and because I thought the markets would do well during the earnings season.
