US agency drops efforts to ban armour-piercing bullets

Tons of people have stockpiled armor-piercing bullets?

Gee, I wonder why.
It's to kill invading hordes of godless, commie, liberal, Obama loving, lazy-thieving-black muslim-dope-dealing, Federal-Reserve-ass-kissing, terrorists when they team up with the CIA, the NSA, the FBI, the ATF, the IRS, the DOE, Headstart, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Dianne Feinstein, San Francisco Queers and the Democrats to charge across the Mexican Border and try to steal our guns.

Thanks for clarifying that....

but you forgot zombies.

Because these types of stupid ban threats create a market where by people buy an item they know will skyrocket in price.

Just like twinkies that were selling for $20 a piece several years back when Hostess went under.

I don't know anybody stockpiling or even where to find "black tipped" ammo, i.e. armor piercing. Green tipped/Ball w/steel core is not designed as armor piercing, it's just cheap. Why would you want to target practice with some type of hollow-point or hunting round that cost's 3 times as much?

Typical false narrative.

I gave up trying to make this point. It's so typical of the anti-gun zealots and media to create a false narrative, "cop killer bullets", then depend on the general public's ignorance to demonize opposition.

Green tips are military surplus rounds that people buy because they are cheap, not because they are armor-piercing. Any full power rifle round will defeat soft body armor. I don't know what a green tip will do against ceramic or steel armor plate, but I doubt it will defeat it.

I don't think they're concerned about "target practice".

Depends on the target, though.
