Hello,

I think I am an idiot.

Do Dec CL options expires into Jan futures positions? I thought that since it was expiring 2 days before dec contracts they expired into dec contracts.

I open my platform today and see a position on Jan Futures instead of dec.

Can someone confirm?

I think it was an IB problem. The Jan Futures position disappeared.

I am quite angry at IB. It 's not the first time I see strange things when I let options expiring into futs.

At least I waited to offset the position and didn't act on it.

Sounds like it's all cleared up.

Just to reiterate: Dec options absolutely expire into Dec futures, and Jan options absolutely expire into Jan futures.
