The time has not come yet for a 'global' government but it will happen at some point. (Unless, of course, we destroy ourselves through nuclear and/or environmental self-destruction).
However, it will NOT be the result of GOVERNMENTS signing away sovereignty, it will be in response to gloabalization by PRIVATE multinational CORPORATIONS. They already operate on a global level caring nothing about nationalism or nationalist aspirations. The advancement towards a one-world government IS occuring and there is nothing we can do to stop it. But hey, nationalism has had a good run and all things must die.

Well there are those of the opinion that a 'new world order' is being established by multi-national banking interests already. This is being done in league with the government politicians which they control - it takes money to win elections. It takes money to own the media and get your agenda accepted by the public. Unfortunately for us, this global entity isn't bound to respect the US Constitution or our Bill of Rights. And if these crooks bankrupt us completely, we will be like those poor third world countries that have to come crawling to the IMF and follow their 'austerity' programs in order to get money to survive.
