You guys are constantly comparing IP addresses. This is totally useless. There are many ways to fake an IP address. My current ip address that I posted with this thread is 67.159.44.138 which can be traced back to Woodstock, IL. However, you will sometimes find me under an IP address in Europe or in California or in Oho. Sometimes in various other places. Do I really travel this much?

No, I dont. Tracing back the IP address is useless. My IP address can change daily and I never am in the location where the IP address states that I am in.

I believe how I do this is public knowledge and can be found out fairly easily. You dont need any special hardware or software. I wont advertise how I do this on here, but anyone can do it. Its easy.

I would stop attempting to trace and ban the different ip addresses. That doesnt work anymore especially with all the different ways an IP address can be faked.

So someone with the knowledge of my IP address can conceivably create an ET id by using my exact IP address numbers?

The Admins should look into it cause it's their job to keep things clean.

As far as I know, this is impossible unless done by someone with webhost access (access to the forum file structure). That is extremely unlikely.
