US policy group rejects greater regulation for hedge funds
A high-level US government policy group has endorsed the current hands-off approach to regulation of hedge funds and other private pools of capital, arguing that the financial system remains best served by a principles-based approach whose principal emphasis is on the disclosure of risks to investors.
