There are 2 main problems these days with these discussions (that show a failure of educational systems more generally). 1. Conservatives throwing around terms like Communism, Marxism, and Nazism in meaningless ways just because they don't like what their political opponents are doing or saying. 2. Conservatives who don't understand the difference between freedom and freedumb (often times with lethal consequences for them).
Let's add conservatives policies seem to have de-evolved around dog whistle topics, which by design cause division.
ie Abortion, Immigration, Guns and the freedom to lie without consequence.
When's the last time conservatives introduced any legislation that doesn't just benefit a shrinking minority? The main ideology seems to be some people should have more rights than others.
The problem I see is that there is no consequence for breaking the law. Regardless of which side of the political spectrum you are on it seems that the justice system looks the other way when it comes to civil disobedience. Whether it's trucker in Ottawa or environmentalist blocking roads or highways there should be some consequence for illegal action.
Even though there are arrests, by the time shit gets through the legal system, nothing ever gets done. The media, for what ever reason, doesn't follow up on what happens to those who are arrested.
If the trucker really want to sent a message they just have to quit hauling stuff to Ottawa.

I'd be very scared to be a Canadian, right now. Saw on Twitter someone with a name similar to one of the protesters and he's cut off from banks, credit cards and all financial accounts and the funny thing is that he hates the protesters, lmao
That is literally nobody in Toronto. Metro area has around 6 or 7 million people. If you wanted to see a real crowd look at the Raptors parade when they won the NBA. Such is the internet these days highly misleading. The protests are going nowhere but at least some of those people are getting some exercise. Given that it's a national holiday none of these people had to take the day off work. Now if the people in Toronto do their little parade then go back to their lives there won't be any arrests.
