The crypto exchanges like Kraken and Coinbase have already tweeted that they will comply with Canada's orders as they have no choice if they want to continue operating in Canada

Kraken CEO's tweet was even urging the users to withdraw the coins out of exchanges

Cryptos in self-hosted wallets are unaffected


Accounts are used for centralized entities

Addresses are used for local crypto wallets which can be generated with no effort at all, heck you can generate a million crypto local addresses and send transfer back and forth which no one no one will be able to stop :D

Canada declared Emergency act (previously called War Measures Act). Lots of things that normally can’t happen will happen now. It will be very interesting to see how far reaching it will be including crypto.

“The Emergencies Act (French: Loi sur les mesures d'urgence) is a statute passed by the Parliament of Canada in 1988 which authorizes the federal government to take extraordinary temporary measures to respond to public welfare emergencies, public order emergencies, international emergencies and war emergencies. The law replaces the War Measures Act passed in 1914. It asserts that any government action continues to be subject to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedomsand the Bill of Rights.”
 
Extreme liberals in Canada should realize this is the start of their government taking all their rights. After all, if they can just freeze your bank account and take your monies----you have in effect become the slaves of the government and at their mercy. And if they can do this to the truckers who are their fellow Canadians, Justin Trudeau can do it to any other Canadian. All he needs is a pretext to do so. What is scary is this is how the German Nazis took the rights of the Jews away bit by bit, by dehumanizing them, taking their property then, finally, exterminating them.

Canada did the exact same thing, but since it was against Japanese/Canadian civilians, no one gets upset much because that makes it ok. You know how it goes... if ANYONE ELSE had done that, then it's an issue in the history books.

Most millennials here are in favor of communism. Had they been around in the 80's, they'd be singing a different tune. What's interesting is so many people here fled other places in the world to get away from that, and they are just scratching their heads now how things can just do a 180 in a country that used to brag about freedom.

Millennials would have to deal with the tyranny if they are still fast asleep. Our generation would be mostly, dead and it would be them, suffering the most. There are also, reports of bank runs now. The financial regulators are now proposing laws to make their emergency powers permanent.
