Unrigging Our Elections

Hate to say it, but Republicans may need to start cheating like The Dems do.

The problem is cheating is anathema for most Republicans who believe in the rule of law. RINOs who are plentiful are too cowardly, to even change election laws and make it harder to cheat. The drivers license for illegals and automatic registration to vote for these illegals should not be happening but, RINOs everywhere will not lift their little fingers to even fight it. This is the practice in California and probably, in other liberal states. So, foreigners can vote in US elections and nobody has a problem with it?

Ballot Harvesting and Mail-In Balloting are 2 legal ways that the Dems cheat. Republicans need to get on board and use the system if they are not going to get rid of these 2. Mind you, they need to be gotten rid of.
Republicans already do use "the system", with the voting buses and ballot harvesting they do at the nation's nursing homes—which are where most republicans like yourself reside.

There are many republican positions that when presented to the public garner more than 50% support. And there are some that do not, just as it is on with ideas on the left.
Of course you don't care much anyway, since you're libertarian, and those ideas (when expressed as policy) are even less popular with the public.

There are many libertarian policies that resonate both with the public and/or the GOP. I can list some if you'd like, but I suspect you don't really care and are only attempting to troll. Correct me if I am mistaken.

Dems have gotten more votes in 7 of the last 9 presidential elections and Dem Senators usually represent far more people than GOP Senators such as Dem Senators representing 40 million people in last years 50-50 Senate.Dems could fix much of this but their refusal to do so is making me less and less inclined to vote for them.

Oh, I agree. If legal, the republicans should shut the hell up about it and just do it better. But mark my words. If the Republicans manage to get better at it - even in specific locations - you'll start hearing all sorts of negative press about it from Democrats.

well that is exactly what is happening....Dems are better at it and GOP is bitching....

So they should stop bitching where it is legal and just do it. Whoever does it, it has to be done fairly and should have oversight. One party's hands are not cleaner than the others so oen cannot imply that dems doing it is cheating but GOP is ok if both are allowed to do it.

therefore I dont get the issue.....GOP is allowed to do it too until both arent...

Agree! But it currently doesn't have oversight, so as the GOP starts doing it, expect cries of foul to start from the left rather than just the right.

The Titan submersible disaster is a good example of libertarianism. Operated outside of government and regulations, totally controlled by billionaires and ultimately ended in failure.

That is so not the case and just goes to show how folks on the left screw up the interpretation of it. Could you find some Libertarians that don't want any government regulation? Sure. I could also find some Liberals who want to return to the Soviet Union. That doesn't mean that's the generally accepted doctrine.

As for the tragic sub accident, we don't have libertarian government and it seems to have happened without it.
