Unofficial TWS bug thread

no short on demo account? why?
just logged into it. i can see (for whatever reason) on demo account some appl options combos- 1 long,one short,but can't establish any short position (for testing my application) on ANY stock.
 
There is a plenty of reasons for application developer to use demo. I would love to use paper account , but IB likes to complicate things. Limitation to run paper account only on same machine, where your real account running is one of them. Stupidest decision ever. And im sure everyone likes recent extra touch, where every time you login , you have choose between "paper" and live, and after that again click on pop up to confirm that you aren't full retard and understand that this red framed tws instance is a paper acc. :)

anyone having problems with IB charts today? running 963.3, no changes been made,but all of sudden today charts are showing premarket quotes on stocks,while checkbox "show data outside of trading hours" in chart settings is unchecked. if checked-shows both pre and post market. stocks and ETF's only. futures are fine. on top of that-chart now display 2 sets of clocks\time. restore,restart etc-didn't help at all. anyone else?

Bob, its been a while! This is a known and already addressed issue, it will take effect later today after system reset.
 
nope..still not fixed. now at least on my TWS charts are showing 1 hour before market open and 1 hour after regular hours. when "show data outside of regular hours" is unchecked.
