Unofficial TWS bug thread

back to T&S-good feature "search" in T&S-you enter date and time- press enter-boom! all transactions are there(and chart changes too). excellent! BUT! could be better,if more common sense was used-when customer press search and get the data in T&S window for this particular time period-it would be nice than the chart jumps to that date and time too.

i would also appreciate a little more flexibility with columns\fields in this window(hoping that i can get good old format,where we can see total number of shares traded(gone) and sizes on bid \ask are right next to the prices(just like it was before or as it was in TWS quote window. having sizes 7x8 in separate window is really inconvenient for an eyes and it's a very odd format). not sure why IB keeps reinventing the wheel?

In the screenshot below you can see bid/ask next to the prices, no X between prices, volume (aka total number of shares traded) and other things you might missed; try adjusting T&S configuration to achieve what you want, and email me if you need any further help with this. We will see what we can do re location of closed and opened again window.

Thank you Dst! looks like everything is fine in latest browser version. all columns are there and no problems with a T&S window position and size.
but IMPO-having that feature,where if customer is looking for particular time frame in T&S window-it also automatically jumps in the chart to that point -it would be nice\convenient.
 
Hi all -

Hi/lo/last/volume are not displaying for any intercommodity spreads in TWS versions 940 and above, it's currently working fine in 939.4 or my older versions.

Examples:

NOB
COIL.WTI
RB.CL
 
In version 945.1a, all previously existing Accumulate/Distribute algo Templates have been lost and no new ones can be created.

This was posted in a long-established Yahoo group this morning:

Just heads-up for TWS users.
TWS 945.1 is buggy, especially web version - don't use it.
Use standalone TWS 944.3 or earlier.

The poster is an extremely sharp coder and the first post of this type I've ever seen from him in over 10 years in the group. IB's QA group must have been by-passed on these recent releases.

Jack..get real...they don't have any QA...for YEARS(decades?),i did offer to them my expertize and knowledge of TWS and it's flaws and bugs(here,in this thread) but...they not interested.. bend over and get use to a guinea pig position, if you are planning to trade thru them.

I've been a commission-paying IB guinea pig for over a decade. Unfortunately, I can no longer test the new releases with "real data" on a separate machine in my paper trading account and don't like to run real and paper on the same machine. Therefore, I delay switching to the "upgrade" long enough to allow most of the bugs to be corrected.
