"Unless something is settled, it's going to be a bloodbath Monday"

Merrill Lynch in talks to sell itself to Bank of America for at least $38.25 billion: report 4:44pm EDT

This equals $25~ a share, way up from $17 MER is trading at Friday. CRAZY SUNDAY.

Tuesday during hearings on hill moreso than Monday.

The quality of the Q's will be the tells for the future. Recently, Congress gave Treasury an blank check and now it will begin to come home to roost. Treasury does not have any answers for any excellent Q's. Quandary time.

Nice cascading, on occasion, for everyone for quite a while. Will be a great example of trading frequency vs capacity.

We are just 1/3 of the way into this timewise. Landmark was end of JUN 06. Lo et al noticed something in AUG07 (MIT).

EOP policy has been idealistic and has guaranteed great trading. Next EOP term will move from idealism but not to leadership and control of the situation.

It is very good to see the end of the securitization era (quants) come to a close thus adding up to all the market's especially good profiting potential. Its not always possible to have such a great basis for making money, but this is a long one relatively speaking (nearly double the basis of that of the last decade ending in JUN 2006).
