The United States Secretary of Commerce is the head of the United States Department of Commerce. The Secretary is appointed by the President of the United States with the advice and consent of the United States Senate and serves at the President's pleasure. A member of the President's Cabinet, the Secretary is concerned with promoting American businesses and industries; the Department states its mission to be "to foster, promote, and develop the foreign and domestic commerce".

Wilbur Ross is on the short list. Pretty much a self-made billionaire. Good choice. Has a little dirt, (they) blame him for that WV coal mine incident that killed 12. Catholic so he probably confessed it away so he's good to go.

Current one is a born into billions billionaire from... you guessed it... Chicago. Penny Sue Pritzker. Certainly accomplished though.

You know what's interesting though, as I was digging through Wikipedia .... Obama has had 8...count em... not a typo... 8 different Commerce Secretaries. No wonder things are so f'd up. Thats one per year. How can anyone get anything done like that.

All the rest of your post was great, but here you are giving again an example of how Catholicism is deformed. he might have had the let go of a poser priest and fake "catholics".
As far as I have learned:
- where is his contrition?
if so, why is he hiding his little dirt, instead of letting the world know that
he is nowdays financing all the top education of these 12 dead people extended family members?
that he is now putting forward plans to educate business owners on improving miners' security.

The core of Catholicism, is how we deal with "dirt".
If you want to understand better about contrition: here is an example that really illustrates what
contrition is all about.

 
However, if he is good at this government role, then even if he is not confessing, there is no reasons to block him from the job. There is a separation of State and Religion for a good reason.

It is very Ok to joke. I just mentionned in case a nutter on ET would make assumptions.

Not all catholics are great people: take each person as they are, and do not just judge because of their badge. One thing to look for is really how often they confess ( to whom, and how if you can), what they read AND what charity work they do ( that one is actually very important).

Baptists: these are the protestants one, right?

The Department of Commerce is highly politicized at the moment because NOAA falls under Commerce. The Obama regime used NOAA to skew weather reporting and to support the AGW agenda. That house needs cleaning.
