What else can be said other than this being completely ridiculous and outrageous. What next? Will any future surgery one might have to undergo be canceled last minute because doctor's eldest or the nurse's nephew caught a cold and needs to be treated asap?
That's why in China, you pay for your surgery and you have to even give bonuses to the surgeon before the surgery to ensure it goes well and you are wheeled out of there alive. And in China back like 10-20 years ago when there was a shortage of blood supply, ALL workplaces are given a quota of blood donation. When and if you are due for surgery, they check your workplace (in the planned economy, you are identified by your workplace, your employer)'s blood donation quota and if your workplace's blood donation hasn't fulfilled the quota, EVEN if you are already strapped in on the operation table, you could be unstrapped and wheeled out of the operating room and told to wait until your workplace has fulfilled the blood donation quota and then they will re-evaluate you. True story. I am NOT making any of this up. What is happening in our societies? Why are people not fighting back? I sued one of my previous employer because promised bonuses were not paid. I did not care about any tarnished reputation or held back for fear of future company reprisals? (I was hired again by another firm after I quitted and sued for pay that was owed to me). Are people so under qualified and unskilled that they are so fearful of going head to head with employers or companies one entered into contracts with? When will people stand up and fight for their rights?
