Americans may be numb to President Donald Trump‘s absurd boasts, but the world leaders of the United Nations General Assembly apparently aren’t.
The U.N. General Assembly laughed within the first 20 seconds of Trump’s speech before the body, after a particularly lofty brag about his administration’s accomplishments.
“In less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country,” Trump said.
As laughter broke out in the hall, Trump added, “So true.” Following more laughter, Trump said, “Didn’t expect that reaction, but that’s okay.”
More laughter followed, along with some applause. Trump smiled, and continued to tout the U.S. economy.
