Quote from Scataphagos:
There was a guy who owns a large family owned bakery in St. Louis on TV yesterday. He said he's looking to hire, but people won't take the job... "because their unemployment checks are only $30-$40 less than the job".
Perhaps unemployment compensation is so generous that it discourages people from working. ??
Cut off those fat government checks and perhaps people will decide to work again.
So he wants to pay Minimum wage if he pays 40 less than the 1200 monthly unemployment.
How much in Gasoline,babysitter,etc.. would it cost to work for him.
Maybe he can pay 100 dollars more than unemployment check to cover the cost of going to work.
Financially it makes no sense, it would be like entering a bad trade. Can you blame people for rejecting this "Great work" opportunity cleaning toilets in his baker for a few shillings
