Look at it from the point of view of a users on Tradingview.com which is where Erin hangs out considering all of her charts are from Tradingview.
Its a nice website full of technical traders using indicators, oscillators and price action traders. Most have their own unique understanding of price action. Thus, if you have something to say, its very difficult to get views on what you have to say and/or to feel like you're being heard.
Seriously, Tradingview is a
heaven for technical analysis...traders using indicators/oscillators or just naked price action plus a little taste of fundamentals and breaking news. Also, they can connect directly with many brokers.
Topics you do not find at Tradingview.
Reason why I've always stated that if you want more views on your education of price action or just technical analysis...my opinion is that Elitetrader.com is
not the place considering this forum is notorious for none believers of Technical Analysis and a prefer place of talking about other things beyond trading itself.
In contrast, you got something to say about technical analysis...the prefer places are Tradingview, Stocktwits and then Twitter. Yet, as I stated, this
Pandemic changed things. It has recently overcrowded places like Tradingview, Stocktwits and Twitter. Thus, its difficult to heard / seen over there.
Solution - Take your Tradingview charts elsewhere and post at places like Elitetrader.com
The strange thing is this...I've notice such during the Pandemic more than prior months or years maybe because these traders have been recently lay off from their day jobs...stuck at home due to the Pandemic. That would imply these traders suddenly had more time on their hands and are crowding the field for others...making the others less noticeable.
I mention Twitter / Stocktwits because its happening their too. Since the Pandemic...more posts on their social media by those from Tradingview and its much easier too because you can log into Tradingview via your other social media accounts.
With that said, I do not mind anyone giving their opinions about their understanding of price action trading in the format of education for others here at ET. Yet, they need to understand that its already been talked about by others before them even though others used different names / phrases for the exact same thing.
Only difference is that its new charts from those today is like a
fresh coat of paint on the same wall.
Yet, it would be problematic if they arrive here and think their view is the only right view when they think they don't see a lot of current discussions about price action trading while they don't realize its all been discussed before...that's when problems happen.
By the way, the gender thing doesn't phase me and we all know what happen the last time when a gender thing became an issue after so many members ignored the tell tale signs.
Sorry about the above long reply post but I just find social media more interesting lately on us traders due to the Pandemic. It really is fascinating to see how the technical views over at Tradingview are screaming more louder and traders need to go elsewhere to be heard.
Personally, Elitetrader.com is the last social media place I would post any education info about price action trading. Many years ago it was suitable for such like the early 2000's but things changed around the 2008 - 2010 global financial crisis and the rise of Twitter, Stocktwits and TradingView.
Elitetrader.com is now to me just as a place to hang out and drink some beers...that's a good thing too. Less crowded about trading issues...reason why I get my fill of technical trading from elsewhere although this place may be more attractive to newbies looking for a place to be heard and even get answers about topics not even related to trading if that's what they really needed.
