Unable to Upgrading from TWS 875.3 to TWS 877.5

When I run the windows upgrade from TWS 875.3 to TWS 877.5 I get a "Fatal Error" message saying the upgrade contains the same 875.3 version as already exist on my computer and the upgrade will be terminated. I ran the TWS 877.5 upgrade from TWS 876 on one of my other windows computers without a problem. I am running Windows 2000 on both computers. Any suggestions for solving this problem?

Have you tried removing the previous version from your machine completely first? Then install the newer version.

Backup the TWS directory before you do this (just in case).

The problem has been fixed. I waited three hours and then reran the upgrade to TWS 877.5 and TWS upgraded as it should with no problems. This makes me wonder if IB changed something on their side.
