Unable to change Account options

Thought I'd report a problem I've been having for the last few weeks:

Go to "Your Account" and select "Edit Options".
Change "use email notification by default".
Select "Submit Modifications" button at the bottom

On my system, the browser goes to a blank page and stops. No further browser activitity and the change is not accepted. IE is not hung; I can select another site and continue.

Info:
OS: win2000 SP2
IE: 5.50.4522.1800

i have exactly the same problem!

baron is already working on it i guess - seems to be a bit confusing what the reasons are.

my system: win 98 se / ie6.0

the problem is not that big - but it would of course be nice to edit those options.
