CHICAGO, Dec 13 (Reuters) - The U.S. equity derivatives arm of Swiss bank UBS (UBSN.VX: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Thursday it is offering its clients algorithmic trading on its newly launched electronic platform for options in the U.S. marketplace.
Algorithmic trading -- where computers make multiple trades in fractions of a second -- has been transforming financial markets and is ready to make a mark in the U.S. options arena.
