DCX sees the handwriting on the wall. They are really sure now it was all a big mistake.
Better to dump, get whatever they can for it, and then bring the cars in from China to put it out of its misery. Thats much easier on DCX than shutting it down one plant at a time.
The other advantage to it is if volume drops, its the Chinese partner that suffers, not DCX.
