I think about it every day. IMO there's no play in the spread. Spec longs, call buyers ect. keep a bid in Dec relative to Sep. Commercials will obviously buy Sept because it's cheap but I don't think there's enough other interest to budge the spread. You never know what'll happen after first notice but by then it's too late for me.....
 
You're leaning in the proper direction if you believe the spread is at full carry, as long as nothing happens to widen it out further.
