President Donald Trump has praised a crowd of up to 40,000 anti-fascist protesters who marched through the streets of Boston in protest against right-wing activists hosting a 'free speech' rally on Saturday.
Some of the counter-protesters clashed with police after the largely peaceful march through the city had ended when the handful of activists who attended the free speech rally left.
President Trump tweeted: 'I want to applaud the many protesters in Boston who are speaking out against bigotry and hate. Our country will soon come together as one!
'Our great country has been divided for decades. Sometimes you need protest in order to heal, & we will heal, & be stronger than ever before!'
Trump quickly deleted two tweets that misspelled the word heal as 'heel' and an hour earlier he had tweeted to condemn 'anti-police agitators'.
But the president's tone was mostly conciliatory after a week of outrage over his response to the violence in Charlottesville last weekend.
Out of the thousands in attendance, 33 people were arrested following bottles of urine and rocks being thrown at police and when some burned a Confederate flag and pounded on the sides of a police vehicle at Boston Common.
Although city officials had asked counter-protesters to stay away, saying their presence would draw more attention to the far-right activists, the group was later commended for standing up to hate and bigotry during the largely peaceful day.

- To deter any violence from happening, the city of Boston armed the streets with 500 police officers
- The city mayor warned counter-protesters to stay away from the event but they still flocked to the rally
- Around an hour after the rally's start time of noon, the few who came for the free speech event left
- Local police helped escort the right-wing speakers from the enclosed area and took them away from the park
- President Trump tweeted: 'Looks like many anti-police agitators in Boston. Police are looking tough and smart! Thank you'
- He later added: 'I want to applaud the many protestors in Boston who are speaking out against bigotry and hate. Our country will soon come together as one!'

- A similar protest between alt-right groups and opponents injured dozens and left a woman dead in Charlottesville last week

It's clear he is mentally unstable as well as having a clinical case of narcissistic personality disorder. I'm sure that Republican leadership are working now on the least disruptive way to deal with this situation. They won't relish the thought of an impeachment trial in the Senate once Mueller's report is available, likely next summer, yet the alternatives would be blazing new ground. What to do?
The problem we can all see is that simply sidelining him and letting the adults take over is very difficult to pull off with a mentally unbalanced person like Trump at the Top. He is not going o go quietly.

Nobody can do anything because the Republican base is as deranged and mentally ill as Trump, just look at all the support he gets on this sub, they will never allow anything sane to happen as long as Trump keeps insulting Mexicans, Blacks and Liberals which is what they live for.
