That's why it was a mistake in the first place to take in people who ideologically, culturally & religiously oppose the West and Western values. Ask anyone of them & they would blame America for wars in the ME, whether they are ISIS or not. No extent of appeasement won't change this fundamental fact since they obey their own 1400 year old laws which they bring along & which are not necessarily consistent with the US Constitution. There should be a good reason why they can't have achieve the same level of freedom & prosperity in the countries of their origin.
BTW, what exactly does ISIS do wrong? Why were they attacked by Obama admin for their religious beliefs?

99.9% of Muslims don't hate anyone. Same with Whites, Indians, Chinese, Japanese, Germans, American Indians, etc. Pretty much everyone just wants a job, hot meals on the table, and house for their kids. There are a small population of the people that want to create chaos and destruction. While, you and I disagree on pretty much everything in politics, I believe we both fit into the first category.
America is to blame for a lot of the conflict in the middle east. Extremism didn't come from religion; it came from war. The Taliban was created by the Russian occupation of Afghanistan. Al Queada as a result of the Taliban. ISIS is a result of the US Occupation of Iraq. Most Muslims don't side with Al Queda or the Taliban or ISIS, just like most Trump supporters don't side with David Duke and the KKK.
It's not about appeasement. America should keep out the extemists - and it had a good system to do so. This current ban is just blatant racism which is a decidedly un-American ideal. So we have prevented an all-ready-solved-for terror threat and now lost our soul in the process. That is how the Islamic Extremists win.

Two neutral views:
US should stop bombing and inciting civil wars in Middle East to begin with. In Syrian civil war, US and allies like Saudi, UAE, Qatar have a major hand in creating a civil war. First a civil war is forced fed and when people lose their jobs, homes, families and get angry, then they will turn to terrorism and other activities. Result will be refugees wanting to flee to peaceful areas and some bad elements will slip in like in Europe.
In UK where there are lots of muslim immigrants, there are Sharia petrols in muslim neighbourhood. A regular white British cannot even think of going there in regular western clothing. Non muslims are harassed in these neighborhoods for their dressing, religion etc. etc. This is nonsense. Please practice your religion within the confines of your home and not impose it on others in the public. If you refuse to wear western clothes and result in not getting jobs then please blame yourself not the host country. If you refuse to adjust then be ready to be on welfare and subsistence means. Then please do not feel angry and create terror. This Sharia petrol type thing is total nonsense and it is surprising the UK government has been tolerating it for so long.

1. Because the individuals who are coming aren't in a position to change their own countries. Their own countries are stuck becaue of a civil war, corrupt beauracracy, or stagnant social structure. Most immigrants come here to build a better life than they could have and are willing to work hard for it. That's the American way. And America is better off for it.
2. Religious Extremism is this case is anyone who uses an extremely literal and often extra-literal translation of religious documents to oppress other people. There are LOTS of Christian extremists in this country. There are many in Europe too. Should we blanket ban all Christians from America because of those extremists.
