$2 trillion is annually redistributed from the top 40% of families to the bottom 60% of families.
...
As a group, the bottom 60% of American families receive more back in total government spending than they pay in total taxes.
...
American's lowest-income families receive $5.28 worth of government benefits for every dollar they pay in total taxes. Middle-income families receive $1.48 in total government spending per tax dollar, while the highest-income families receive $0.25 cents in spending for every dollar of taxes paid.

I don't get it? You either get 5.28, 1.48, or .25. Sounds like a hell of a deal to me. Nobody loses. Where is that casino in Washington D.C.? I'd like to go play there for a few nights.

If you are in the top 20% then you get $0.25 back.

The lowest 20% gets $5.28 back, and the middle 20% gets $1.48 back.

The report in the second post has complete details and charts.

I don't think they ever set up the IRS to be a money making scheme for me. I kind of figured it would cost me. So...I wonder what they are spending the 25 cents that goes to me on? I hope it's a bomb. I don't really need medicare.
