I'm sure all the Christian fundamentalist on here does the same with their children, them living by the literal word of bible and all.

I remember that. Some white lady "Pearl S. Buck" fascinated with Chinese farmer life and how he saved money and became some kind of town lord and then his sons went to war with each other.
 
re: OP. it's because rampant out of control big banks and corporate America , corporate media, etc. are not "American" anymore and rarely pay lip service to Christian culture and values if anything anymore.
