Many countries teach English as a 2nd language as they should. English is the international language of finance. While many Americans could benefit from being fluent in 1 or more other major languages, our need to do so isn't so great with English being our native.

Learning at that age isn't about having a skill, it's about brain development. Learning additional languages has shown to increase brain activity and intelligence.
