U a Scalper? Daytrader? Intra-day trader? Fader?

Quote from NY0BScalper:

I have a very insane layout. My fingers are long so I can reach keys many can't, but shift Q,W,E,R,T,Y are my cancels, shift A,S,D,F,G,H,J,K are my sells, shift+Z,X,C,V,B,N,M are my buys, CTRL+A,S,D,F,G,H,J,K are also sells, and CTRL+Z,X,C,V,B,N,M are also buys. Shift + ; and shift + ' are also buy/sell keys, as well as shift+[ and shift +].

I use numpad to change order quantity, and I use the arrow keys to change price around.

You can estimate my add/take ratio by looking at my gross:net. I'll give you a hint... I add a lot.

wow. I'm assuming all the hotkeys are "load and go" (send order)?

why so many keys for buy, sell or cancel? are they each tied to a different stock? destination?

A big day is 5+ trades for me so this kinda stuff is very foreign to me.

Cancel all bids, cancel all offers, cancel best bids, cancel best offers, cancel last order...

buy/sells are different destinations, order sizes (one set does position size, the other does tier size)...

Are there really individual traders reaching hundreds of trades a day??

with retail platform and routing????

They are trying to falsify the law of large numbers application in noise trading.

look at nyobscalpers p/l posts.. sterling platform isn't retail though.

Quote from NY0BScalper:

A scalper is both an intraday trader and a daytrader. Intraday trader and daytrader mean the same thing, actually, and both contain scalpers as a subset.

I make 50-500 trades/day, though sometimes more than 500!!! (manually!!!!!!!!!), so I'm definitely a scalper... though sometimes "human high frequency trader" might be a better definition :D.
this is honestly amazing!...you make 50-100 trades per day...wow! trade solely the ES? what is your r/t commission which is the key question...great stuff!

Wow, I have no idea how someone can place so many trades per day AND overcome slippage and transaction costs. Seems to be working for NYOBScalper based on the high frequency of winning days. I only place a few trades per day and hold for days to weeks.
