Really? Because I am a Tea Party member, and I haven't ever heard anything like that... Can you explain why I have heard no such thing amongst Tea Pary supporters and members yet this is somehow "typical"?

Though I am not a Tea Party member, I did attend a large meeting to find out what they were about. There were over 200 people there and several speakers. There were many points of view expressed, none of them racist. The one thing that everyone agreed upon (and was the primary topic of conversation) was that neither Democrats nor Republicans could be trusted to be fiscally responsible with the taxpayers hard-earned money and therefore a new party was needed. What surprised me was the anger shown toward Reagan and Bush by many of the attendees. Both of them were called irresponsible and profligate spenders. I was not expecting that from a group of mostly conservatives. I say "mostly conservative" because I also met a number of Democrats who were left of center on social issues (abortion, gay marraige, etc.), but were fed up with Washington's out-of-control spending.
Old news, in modern times the neo nazi and KKK members support Ron Paul and the libertarians, I wonder why.

Well I am a member, who has also acted in administrative capacity etc. That's exactly the point, out with the republicrats. Wake up! The only functional difference between Obama and Bush is healthcare! The rhetoric might be different, but the actions are more or less the same. I'd venture to say that it is fundamentally a libertarian movement, there are some fiscal leftists involved who simply want to gut the current regime and feel that small government is better than THIS government. I'd say on average the most commonly held view is the need for smaller and more limited government, both socially and fiscally.
