I think I will take a break for a few days. I will post the final update on Friday after the options expire.
When they expire worthless along with the 40s?
A triple seems epic to me.
only epic if you hold the trade. if you take a measly 100%, not epic at all. just another blown op.
UPDATE - TWTR JUNE27 OPTION EXPIRY SUMMARY
The TWTR Jun27 39.00 call trade was well executed from planning, to open, and then closing. The chart below provides an easy way to visualize the trade as it progressed.
TWTR 2-week chart, June 16 to June 27.
Blue Dot: June 18, 01:20 PM. Started ET thread about TWTR June27 40.00 calls. Post #1.
Red Dot: June 20, 11:38 AM. Buy to open 2 contracts Jun27 39.00 calls at $0.50. Post #11.
Green Dot: June 23, 10:27 AM. Sell to close 2 contracts Jun27 39.00 calls at $1.08. Post #16.
This trade was a good example why I don't like debit spreads, the short option would have hindered my exit. No big deal if I was wrong on direction but if you are right on direction debit spreads will cost you money. Go with a long position only.
Did I exit too early? As you can see from the chart there was two days to re-enter a position at prices below my closing price. The TWTR June27 39.00 and 40.00 calls even dipped to their lowest prices since I started the thread. I didn't post any new trades to ET so I won't say if I did enter a new trade on June 24 or June 25. Maybe I did, maybe I didn't.
