TWS on macbook not authenticating

Wondered if anyone else has come across this issue. I normally work on a PC but installed the mac version of the stand alone TWS on my macbook pro and it installed fine. Problem it when it launches and is connecting to IB, it shows "authenticating" but can't get past there. Just keeps trying over and over.
 
Me too .. tried the standalone windows version too .. same problem. It was working this morning (asia time), but yesterday it wasn't and now it isn't again. My first intro to TWS, hardly impressive .. is it always this unreliable ? I can't imagine it being popular if so.
